COVID Update: Closures By Region & Updates to the Gaming Industry

Due to an increase in the positivity rate of COVID-19, the State of Illinois has updated restrictions in all 11 Regions. Tier 1 mitigations are in place for all regions except Regions 1, 5, 7 & 8, which are under tighter restrictions and complying with tier 2 mitigations.

Region 2: Bureau, Fulton, Grundy, Henderson, Henry, Kendall, Knox, LaSalle, Livingston, Marshall, McDonough, McLean, Mercer, Peoria, Putnam, Rock Island, Stark, Tazewell, Warren & Woodford

Region 3: Adams, Brown, Calhoun, Cass, Christian, Greene, Hancock, Jersey, Logan, Macoupin, Mason, Menard, Montgomery, Morgan, Pike, Sangamon, Schuyler & Scott

Region 4: Bond, Clinton, Madison, Monroe, Randolph, St. Clair & Washington

Tier 1 Mitigations for Bars and Restaurants (Additional Tier 2 Mitigation noted)*

BARS

• No indoor service
• Outside bar service closes at 11:00 p.m.
• All bar patrons should be seated at tables outside
• No ordering, sitting, or congregating at bar (bar stools should be removed)
• Tables must be 6 feet apart
• No standing or congregating indoors or outdoors while exiting or waiting for a table
• No dancing or standing indoors
• Reservations required for each party
• No seating of multiple parties at one table
• No tables exceeding 6 people (Tier 2 Mitigation – Regions 1, 5, 7 & 8)*

 

RESTAURANTS

• No indoor dining or bar service
• All outdoor dining closes at 11:00 p.m.
• Outside dining tables should be 6 feet apart
• No standing or congregating indoors or outdoors while waiting for a table or exiting
• Reservations required for each party
• No seating of multiple parties at one table
• No tables exceeding 6 people (Tier 2 Mitigation – Regions 1, 5, 7 & 8)*

 

MEETINGS, SOCIAL EVENTS & GATHERINGS

• Limit to lesser of 25 guests or 25 percent of overall room capacity (Tier 1 Mitigations only)*
• Limit to 10 guests indoors or outdoors (Tier 2 Mitigation – Regions 1, 5, 7 & 8)*
• No party buses
• Gaming and Casinos close at 11:00 p.m., are limited to 25 percent capacity, and follow mitigations for bars and restaurants, if applicable

As a reminder: to stop the spread of the virus, the CDC strongly encourages…

-Washing your hands for more than 20 seconds

-Wearing a mask that covers your mouth and nose during any interaction with others

-Maintaining social distancing guidelines of 6 feet or greater from others

-Ensuring proper sanitation of all machines and surfaces before and after use

-Staying home if you do not feel well or have been in contact with someone who has been exposed to COVID-19.
